DeAndrea Rene’ McIver Hernandez, MA, LPC, EMDR Trained

Three fur babies, support animals

Rene’ earned her Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Our Lady of the Lake University in 2022. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Sociology at The University of Texas at San Antonio (2019) and her Associate of Arts in Psychology at Northwest Vista College (2017).

As a proud military spouse of over 27 years and a former military BRAT, Rene’ brings a unique understanding of life’s transitions, cultural diversity, and the challenges of constant change. Her journey raising four children, caring for three fur babies, and moving across the globe has shaped her compassionate and grounded approach to therapy.

Recently relocated to Texas from Colorado and licensed in Colorado and Florida, Rene’ provides virtual individual and couples psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. Her clinical experience includes supporting clients through trauma, substance use, depression, grief, anxiety, and life transitions. She believes every person’s story is powerful and deserves to be heard with empathy and respect.

Outside the therapy room, Rene’ enjoys volunteering at hospice facilities, offering emotional support to those in need of connection. She is passionate about building meaningful relationships and loves exploring new cuisines, visiting museums with her family, baking from scratch, crafting, spending time in nature, and diving into creative home projects.
